I often get asked by many people about what I eat and what they should eat to get in better shape, improve athletic performance or to help get ready for the contest stage. The first thing I suggest, before any supplementation or changes in exercise routine, is to improve their nutrition on a day-to-day basis.
In preparing for contests over my career, I have found several foods which can help with:
- Eating healthy while traveling
- Being able to eat healthy everyday while at work
- Having variety while eating healthy so you won’t be bored eating the same foods everyday
- Several other benefits
- Reducing costs while attempting to eat better
While the typical recommendation of adequate water intake, eating a good amount of proper vegetables and other greens, and adequate protein intake usually need to be addressed there sometimes are other food items which can help. This page will show you what I actually use either on a daily basis or during specific times when preparing for a show.
